The SGC Soaring Foundation is a Pacific Northwest organization which owns the Training Center and leases the land at the Ephrata Municipal Airport. The foundation has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Seattle Glider Council, which manages operations at that location. The Foundation is supported by both personal and corporate donations.

The Foundation’s purposes are to:

• support soaring education
  
• provide a venue for soaring activities
  
• promote soaring in the Pacific Northwest
  
• assist youth and new pilots to learn the joys of soaring
  
• promote and provide resources for regional, national and international soaring events

Recent activities of the Foundation include:
• providing grants to ensure tow planes are available at various Northwest soaring events
• installing a new deck shade system at the training facility

Upcoming Projects:
• defining a scholarship program for Youth and new XC pilots coming to Ephrata
• various improvements in the ramp and parking areas around the training center

Foundation operations are based at the Training Center at the Ephrata Airport.

The SGC Soaring Foundation is a non-profit organization and has been granted 501(c)3 status by the IRS. Tax-deductible donations can be made to the SGC Soaring Foundation can be made online.  Note: if you work for a company that offers matching donations, you can double the effect of your donations when you participate in their program.
